I can't remember if I saw this in a magazine or on a blog post but it looked beautiful. A large 4x4 railroad tie was hung from the ceiling from two large chains that wrapped around the log (about a foot from each end) The top of the log was lined with 8 or so white candles. All of the candles were the same width but they varied in height.
I think this would look great above the dinning table, the island, or in an out door room. But I have a few worries about the wax dripping on someones head or the log catching on fire. I would really like to find the post or article to see how (or if) the log was covered in some kind of fireproof sealant and if drip pans were used under the candles. If anyone has seen this post or something similar could you please post a link to it, or tell me were you saw it at.
