Organized Pantry

As I have said before, we are currently staying with family until we can get a place of our own. Although the house we are staying in is a fairly good size, the pantry is tiny. Fortunately the kitchen has plenty of cabinet space to stash anything that does not fit. But never the less the pantry does tend to get a little unorganized. So naturally I decided to do a little organizing.

Here are a few before photos

I took everything out and put it back in its proper place. Here are the after shots.

To the top cupboard I added a container to hold straws and a couple baskets to hold chips and gluten free snacks (for our daughter who has celiac disease)

I moved all of the boxed items (cereal, cake mixes, mac and cheese, ect) to the middle cupboard. I added a shoe box to the back of the cupboard and stacked the cereal boxes on top of it to keep them from getting lost behind everything else. I also added a couple small drawers to hold vitamins, snacks and other random items.

All of the drinks were moved to the bottom cupboard as well as two large containers that hold flour and sugar.

These picture don't really do it justice. It looks much more organized. And the best part... it is so much easier to find things now.
What have you organized lately?

  1. Oooh, I totally love the idea of simply putting a shoebox under the cereal! Never thought of that. I'm totally always looking for ways to be better organized. It's a sickness :) Thanks for sharing this wonderful post!

  14. Your pantry looks great.

I hope our next home has a pantry closet. We had an apartment that had one. It was large enough to walk in. I also kept my small kitchen appliances in there.
