Ever since posting my Weekly Menu/ Shopping List Printable I've received many comments from you guys (my readers) stating that you barely have enough time to plan meals, much less actually have the time to cook them. Well today I'm going to let you in on a little secret of mine. Frozen Food!! Yep, in my fast paced world between school activities, after school activities, weekend soccer games, and work deadlines, I understand how hard it can be to stay on top of your family meals. Which is why I incorporate frozen dishes into my family's daily routine. I absolutely love the benefits of frozen foods.
Jimmy Dean Sausage, Egg and Cheese Croissant Sandwiches are perfect for my husband who wakes up at 4 am and most days doesn't have enough time for breakfast before work. With these croissant sandwiches, he can have a warm breakfast ready in less than a couple minutes.
As for me, I wake up early with my husband so that I can sneak in a couple hours of work before the girls wake up. I love that I can grab a General Mills Pillsbury Toaster Strudel before heading into my office to start the day.
With both girls playing soccer this year that means that 3-4 nights a week, we won't be getting home until around 7 (which is usually bed time for the girls). Cooking on soccer practice nights is not even an option. On these nights we usually opt for frozen meals. Heinz Smart Ones, Nestle Lean Cuisines, or Nestle Lean Pockets are some of our favorites. (Have you tried the pretzel bread on the lean pockets? Yummy!) These meals require very little preparation and I love that Heinz and Nestle offer such a large variety of meals. This way each member of the family can choose something that they like and they can have a variety of different types of cuisines to choose from through out the week as well.
One thing I love about frozen food is that freezing is how fresh food stays fresh. Freezing naturally pauses inspired recipes made with fresh, quality ingredients and suspends them there until the moment you’re ready to enjoy them, locking in freshness, flavor and nutrients. Frozen food is made from real recipes and real ingredients. Freezing is simply a natural pause button that keeps just picked, just baked and just crafted foods at the peak of freshness. Frozen. How Fresh Stays Fresh
You don't have to sacrifice health to have a quick meal with quality ingredients. If you are like many Americans, your life is filled with demands and distraction. That's what's great about frozen foods: they fit every family's lifestyle without compromising taste or nutrition. You can even customize your favorite dishes with frozen foods! Simply toss some frozen vegetables in with chicken and rice or sprinkle some breadcrumbs on mac & cheese after cooking. Also, for those of you on a diet, frozen meals make calorie counting a breeze because you know exactly how many calories are in the meals you eat.
Here are a few more great advantages of having frozen meal options readily available in your freezer:
- Portion control.
- Ease of preparation.
- Ability to try different types of cuisines.
- Frozen foods are ready when you are. They allow todays busy family to spend less time apart and more time enjoying wholesome, tasty meals around the dinner table.
