DIY Your Summer Wardrobe

Before you go out and spend a ton of money on a new spring/summer wardrobe check out these fun tutorials.

BBQ!!!!!!

My favorite part about warm weather are the BBQ's.
Although I'm a huge meat and potato fan when it comes to BBQs, I found a few non-traditional recipes that I will have to try out this summer.

Fun Outdoor Projects for Kids

Last summer I hung a watering can up in a tree, then stuck the end of the garden hose in inside. I placed a kiddy pool underneath it and voila... an outdoor shower. My girls spent hours playing in the water and it was a great way to clean them off after any dirty/messy activities.

ICE CREAM PARTIES

Ice cream parties are perfect for summer time.
Whether you are celebrating a Birthday, Anniversary, job promotion, graduation or maybe you just feel like throwing a party for no reason.
I'm not sure that I have ever met someone who doesn't like Ice cream.

Here are a few ideas to help you get your party started.

Yummy Bread Recipe

It's been forever since I shared a recipe on here so I thought it was about time to share another one.
Those of you who know me know that I'm not a great cook so obviously this recipe is not my own.
I stole it from Hubby. (He's the cook in our family)

Diy Drawer Organizer

I've been slowly organizing our kitchen. So far, I have shared with you how I built a silverware organizer for less than $2 as well as how I organized my spices.
Today I want to share another drawer organizer with you... my spoons and spatula drawer. I know that a lot of people keep their large spoons and spatulas in a container on the counter, however, I can't stand having things cluttering up my counter tops.

Here is were I used to keep my spoons and spatulas

Toddler Busy Book Page

Summer is coming and we are planning a little vacation to visit my husbands family. As excited as I am to see them again, I am not excited about the 14 hour drive with two young kids. I have been trying to come up with a few ideas to keep the girls entertained during our LONG road trip.
One idea that I found was a busy book. However, a lot of the examples I have found on line have removable pieces. During a 14 hour car ride the last thing I want to listen to is a screaming toddler because she lost a piece. Nor do I want pick up a bunch on little pieces from the floor boards or go digging between the seats every time we stop. So I am trying to come up with ideas that require NO loose pieces.
Although it is very slow going, I wanted to show you one of the pages that I have completed.

Organize Your BLOG - Free Printables

Having trouble staying keeping up with your blog? Never know what to write about? Hopefully these FREE printables can help you get organized.

SNAKES!!

I'm not really sure what started it all, but my girls love to play with pretend snakes.
(Don't worry, we have had many discussions on what they should do if they ever came in contact with a real snake)

I don't mind that they play with pretend snakes and I love that they have such great imaginations.
What I don't love is that they never have any socks to wear.
Because, of course, socks make great pet snakes.

So I decided to make them each their own pet snakes.
