This site contains advertising banners and occasional Amazon affiliate links. In the event that an Amazon affiliate link is used, I receive commission on the sale of the products. The affiliate program does not sway my decision of what products to use and share as I only feature items I would link to with or without an affiliate link.
All reviews and opinions on this site are mine and mine alone. I always give full disclosure at the end of each post if I'm paid or gifted to write about a product.
We love to share our personal projects and what "works for us", however, we cannot guarantee that those same projects will also work for you. No two homes or two spaces are considered the same. As the reader, you assume any risks involved when completing projects seen on this site. I Grow For FAMILY!! - What Do You Grow For?
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Miracle-Gro for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Last month I shared my story of how I became fascinated with gardening when playing in my grandparents strawberry patch as a child. Today I would like to share one of my families current gardening projects with you.
If you follow me on Facebook you may recognize these beautiful succulents.

I have never tried growing succulents or cacti before so this is completely new territory for me and I am beyond excited about it. One thing that I find amazing about succulents is that they are supper easy to propagate. Did you know that you can grow an entire succulent from one single leaf? When we brought our succulents home we noticed a few of the leaves had fallen off so we decided to use these to grow a few more.
We set our leaf collection in a cool place out of direct sunlight for 3 days (long enough for the ends to dry out a little) then we placed our leaves in a pot with a mixture of 50% sand (from our back yard) and 50% Miracle-Gro Garden Soil. (*Note: Miracle-Gro also has a Cactus, Palm, and Citrus Potting Mix that definitely would have been better for this project but I used what I had on hand at the time).

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Better Sleep Council for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
May is Better Sleep Month with the Better Sleep Council’s Get on Top campaign.
The Better Sleep Council does not sell or endorse any specific products or brands. The Better Sleep Council’s (BSC) mission is to educate the public on the important connection between sleep and good health – as well as the significant role the sleep system and environment play in getting a good night’s rest. In fulfilling that mission, the BSC engages consumers by creating and promoting innovative messaging through traditional and social media platforms.
Did you know that many American's don't get enough quality sleep? Being a mother of two young kids, it is important for me to get the sleep I need in order keep up with my family.
Four years ago my husband and I made the decision that we needed to take our sleep more seriously. Instead of going to the store and purchasing the cheapest mattress we could find that wasn't as hard as a rock, we actually sat down and researched which mattress would be best for us. I'm not going to tell you which mattress we purchased because everyone is going to be different and I highly encourage you to do your own research. However, I can say that it was the best decision we ever made. The past four years we have had some of the best sleep.
