DIY Home Sweet Home: St. Patrick's Day Banner

I'm so excited to share this supper simple St. Patrick's Day mini banner I created. It took about 10 minutes to put it together and looks so amazing hanging on my chalkboard sign!! The link for the free printable banner can be found at the end of the post.

When I cut out the banners I left a tab on the top to fold over the string then I taped them down. I originally planned on using the jute string that you see in the photo above but the banner was so light weight that it didn't hang right so I switched it out with some thick, white thread.

The shamrocks were a necklace that I found at Dollar Tree. It said "Happy St. Patrick's Day" but I cut off the letters and glued the strings of shamrocks back together.

This was the first piece I hung up in my gallery wall that I am working on. I can't wait to share it once it is all finished. I was going to build a small shelf to go above the chalkboard but then I found that round shelf at Dollar General for $6, and it was perfect!! Score! I plan on adding some decorations to it and changing it out each season, but for now my little gnome (also found at Dollar Tree) is just hanging out until it's warm enough to put him in the garden.
